Description
Bruno Paillard Blanc de Blancs Millésime 1999 Magnum is a rare and exceptional Champagne crafted exclusively from selected Chardonnay grapes grown in the Côte des Blancs – a region renowned for its chalky soils and distinctive mineral expression. The 1999 vintage was marked by warm weather, an early harvest, and perfectly ripened grapes, resulting in a Champagne that is both complex and harmoniously balanced.
This Champagne was aged on the lees for more than 10 years, allowing it to develop a deep aromatic profile, fine bubble texture, and an elegant, long-lasting flavor. The nose reveals white fruits – pear, apple, citrus – gradually evolving into gentle notes of toasted bread, almonds, and honey. The palate is subtle, mineral-driven, clean, and remarkably fresh, with a long, refined finish.
Serving suggestion:
Bruno Paillard Blanc de Blancs Millésime 1999 Magnum is best served well chilled – at around 8–10 °C. Thanks to its structure and elegance, this Champagne pairs beautifully with seafood (such as SOMM fresh oysters or prawns), white fish, delicate poultry dishes, or as a celebratory aperitif for special occasions. The larger magnum format ensures more even aging and greater longevity, making it an excellent choice for Champagne enthusiasts and collectors.
