Description
Bruno Paillard Assemblage 2009 – is a high-end vintage Champagne from the Champagne region of France, distinguished by its elegance, complexity, and extended aging. This wine is made from equal parts of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes, carefully selected from top “cru” vineyards. Only first-press juices are used in production, and around 20% is fermented in oak barrels to add extra structural depth and aromatic complexity.
The 2009 vintage in Champagne is considered highly successful: a cold winter and wet spring were followed by a warm, dry summer, allowing the grapes to ripen perfectly. As a result, the Champagne combines both maturity and freshness. “Assemblage 2009” was aged for around ten years in the cellar, most of that time on lees, and further matured in bottle after disgorgement. A low dosage (around 5 g/l) gives it an Extra Brut style, keeping the taste dry, clean, and precise.
