Description
Bruno Paillard Assemblage 2004 is a vintage Champagne made from 52% Pinot Noir and 48% Chardonnay. The grapes were selected from nine prestigious Champagne villages (crus), including such renowned names as Verzenay, Bouzy, and Mailly for the Pinot Noir, and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Oger, and Cramant for the Chardonnay. This combination of origins allows for a wine that balances power, elegance, and minerality.
The 2004 vintage in Champagne was marked by stable weather: a warm spring, moderately sunny summer, and ideal conditions at harvest. This resulted in perfectly balanced grapes – expressive in aroma, with great acidity and aging potential. Bruno Paillard Assemblage 2004 was bottle-fermented in the traditional method and aged on the lees for 9 years – far exceeding the minimum requirement for vintage Champagne. After disgorgement, only a very low dosage was added – just 5 g/l – making this Champagne extra brut, with a clear fruit character and natural freshness.
This is a concentrated, well-structured Champagne that manages to be both powerful and refined. The finish is long, clean, and elegant. It is perfect both as an aperitif and paired with fine cuisine.
The bottle is adorned with a unique artistic label – a piece by artist Arthur Djoroukhian titled “Harmony, Symphony,” which reflects the wine’s balance and symphonic structure.
