Description
Bruno Paillard Le Mesnil Grand Cru 1999 Magnum is an exceptional 1.5 L magnum-format Champagne made exclusively from 100% Chardonnay grapes, sourced from the prestigious terroir of the village of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, in the Grand Cru-classified Côte des Blancs region. It was aged for an impressive 15 years on the lees (in bottle until disgorgement in 2014), after which the wine continued to rest, allowing it to develop remarkable creaminess, delicate effervescence, and mineral clarity.
The 1999 vintage enjoyed a perfectly balanced climate: a mild winter, hot and dry summer months, and light autumn rains. These conditions allowed the grapes to ripen fully, with exceptional fruit concentration. Thanks to extended aging, the aroma of Bruno Paillard Le Mesnil Grand Cru 1999 Magnum reveals an elegant fruit-dairy combination. White fruits, patisserie notes, subtle creaminess, and chalky minerality come together in perfect harmony. On the palate, a balance of fresh citrus acidity and rich creaminess is supported by a long-lasting finish that leaves a clean and elegant impression.
