Description
Château Angélus Le Carillon d’Angélus Saint- Émilion 2019 – this is an elegant and well-balanced red wine from Saint-Émilion Grand Cru. It is the second wine of the prestigious Château Angélus estate. The 2019 vintage is predominantly composed of Merlot (90%) and Cabernet Franc (10%). Wine was aged for 16–18 months in French oak barrels, 60% of which were new. This wine stands out with its deep garnet color, floral aromas (lavender, roses), and notes of berries – red currants, blackberries, raspberries – complemented by a subtle hint of black pepper.
On the palate, Le Carillon d’Angélus 2019 is medium-bodied, elegant, with fine tannins, a mineral aftertaste, and a fresh, aromatic finish. It is a wine that reflects a refined terroir and is very well-suited for aging.
Serving recommendation:
We recommend serving Château Angélus Le Carillon d’Angélus Saint-Émilion 2019 at a temperature of 17–18°C, in a Syrah glass. Decanting and allowing the wine to breathe in a decanter for about half an hour will help it open up beautifully. This wine pairs excellently with SOMM beef entrecôte, lamb, and dishes featuring rich and flavorful sauces.
