Description
CHÂTEAU DE CAMENSAC Haut‑Médoc Grand Cru Classé 2014
A classic and structured Bordeaux red wine from the Haut‑Médoc appellation in France. It is a Grand Cru Classé, reflecting quality and tradition from the historic 1855 classification.
The Estate
Château de Camensac is located in Saint‑Laurent‑Médoc. The estate covers about 75 hectares of vineyards on deep, well-drained gravel soils. These conditions are ideal for Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The winery combines tradition with careful plot selection and modern vinification techniques.
Winemaking
The 2014 vintage is blended 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Merlot. Grapes are hand-harvested. Fermentation follows traditional methods. The wine is aged 16–20 months in French oak barrels, with a proportion of new oak depending on the vintage. The approach emphasizes terroir expression and balance.
