Description
Olivier Leflaive Chassagne-Montrachet AOC 2020 – is a prestigious white wine from one of Burgundy’s most renowned villages – Chassagne-Montrachet. The vineyards lie just south of the legendary Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru, and this wine is crafted from 65-year-old Chardonnay vines rooted in clay-limestone soils. Its character is shaped by both the expressive terroir and meticulous winemaking.
The wine is aged for 17 months – 5 months in stainless steel to preserve freshness, followed by 12 months in French oak barrels (20% new), which subtly enrich its aroma and flavor. The bouquet is well-balanced, with notes of honeysuckle, hazelnuts, and fresh butter. On the palate, it offers soft texture, ripe fruit tones, and a refined mineral finish – an elegant, harmonious wine with lasting complexity.
