Description
Camparo Barolo Boiolo DOCG 2018 – organically produced wine of a small producer produced in a vintage of exceptional quality.
Camparo is located in the Piedmont region of Italy. The wine-growing traditions of Camparo have been nurtured for three generations, following a production philosophy inseparable from the values of natural soil management and trust in nature. The organic process has always been considered a hallmark of Camparo – following the natural access to nature and wine-making even when the category of organic winemaking did not yet exist.
Winemaking process:
Camparo Barolo Boiolo DOCG 2018 is a wine made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes that were harvested in La Morra. The grapes in this wine are picked by hand in October. The grapes are then pressed and placed in temperature-controlled stainless steel containers. Fermentation is carried out in the traditional way, which lasts for at least 30 days. The best yields use the old cap stamping method, which takes about 40 days. The wine is then poured into French oak barrels, with a capacity of 25hl. Borolo matures in barrels for 24 months. Finally, the wine is bottled in Bordeaux with a natural stopper and is stored for another 12 months before being released for sale.
Taste:
Pomegranate colors with orange accents reveal the aroma of coffee, tobacco, vanilla and red berries with hints of violets and roses. Expressive in the mouth, strong tannins, elegant acidity and long aftertaste.
Serving:
We recommend to serve this wine at 16 degrees of Celsius, aerated 45 minutes prior to enjoying in a wider, Burgundy type of glass. The wine can be enjoyed now or stored for another 5-7 years.
